NEW – RI Child Support Guidelines Increase
Rhode Island Family Court Child Support Guidelines.
Recently the Rhode Island Family Court has updated its Child Support Guidelines. This update has resulted in the monthly amount of child support that paying parents pay, going up. As a result, parents receiving child support could get more in their weekly or monthly payments. If you are receiving child support and would like to recalculate your child support, one should ask a lawyer the following questions:
- Am I entitled to recalculate child support at this time?
- If this is a new child support order, am I entitled to retroactive child support?
- Is the child support going to be garnished? (take directly from a paycheck)
- Am I entitled to receive any other expenses in addition to child support?
